Lavender Lemonade

Beautiful and calming lavender lemonade. My favorite beverage of summer. Not only does it taste wonderful, but it had natural health benefits too:
Lavender
Reduces anxiety and stress;
Cures insomnia, and
Reduces depression.
Lemon
Increases your energy;
Boosts your immune system;
Fights viral infections;
Aids in digestion, and
Flushes toxins out of your body.

Ingredients
6 Cups of Water Divided in half
1 cup of Honey
4 TBSP of dried lavender
2 Cups of Lemon Juice
Lemon Slices for Garnish
Directions:
Over medium heat, combine two cups of water and honey, bringing to a boil until the honey is dissolved. Turn off of the heat and stir in the lavender.
Allow mixture to steep in the pot for 2 hours. Strain the liquid, pressing the lavender down to make sure you get all of the essence from the flower into the mixture!
In a large pitcher, the rest of the water, combine the lemon juice, lavender mixture and water. Enjoy!
Add fresh lemon Slices upon serving to the side of the glass.
